Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Indian general election, 1999. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. CPI(M) in infobox

[edit]

Happyjit Singh, CPI(M) shouldn't be added in this page because it didn't get even 10% seats, nor was it a coalition partner or anything. INC is added in 2014 and 2019 because it's the main opposition and something has to be there. Ok123l (talk) 18:50, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's a very arbitrary argument. There is no 10% threshold, no requirement to have coalition partner etc. Also, there is no reason to limit to 3 parties in the infobox, there are plenty of cases with far more parties featured. In this case BJP and INC won only slightly more than 50% of the total vote combined, so it is clearly warranted to feature other parties. --Soman (talk) 21:10, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
