2009 FA Community Shield

[edit]

Hey! Why 2009 FA Community Shield doesn't appear in the table "Appearances and goals"? I think we have to add that because is part of the tournaments that Chelsea played in the current season and Chelsea won that!--Eduardocombe (talk) 17:21, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think so

[edit]

Yes you're right. Ricardo Carvalho was named as man of the match in that final of Community Shield. His goal was most helpful for Chelsea's win over Manchester United. But that is not written in the table. At least we have to create subtable.Boyusha (talk) 12:18, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Page layout

[edit]

I'm still a bit new to Wikipedia, but I suggest if we can, we should make the results one expandable table. Each match would be an expandable box, showing only the final score, but expandable to show the goal scorers, bookings, details, etc. Because, come end of the season, with all the match, the page size will be needlessly too long, when it could be made shorter. I go the idea after viewing the Barcelona 2009-10 season page. Any agreements? Also, the key dates, there are too many of them. My suggestion is that we make the key dates to summarise the matches/off-field events after every month. Do reply. Laks.t.cfc13 (talk) 17:47, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I feel the expandable matches decrease the ease to find information quickly like red cards and hat tricks. We tried it last season and many of us that edit this page voted against it due to this reason. The only thing I would agree to is keeping the goals visible and somehow putting the bookings in a drop down table. While key dates are large now, we will cut them down later in the season along with the season summary. Thanks for the input, I'll talk it over with Chris and the others that edit this page.
