Tone

[edit]

Please try to keep the tone neutral, and also to go easy on the jargon. If cricket enthusiasts read deep, cricket-enthused analysis, they go to CricInfo. Here on wikipedia it needs to be written for the layman to understand too, so try to keep the cricket jargon to a minimum IMO. SGGH ping! 07:36, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, got carried away a little bit! Thanks for the fixes. – PeeJay 07:43, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lords

[edit]

I imagine that one of the most notable things about the Lords test was that England recorded their first victory in an Ashes test there since 1934. I am surprised this is not more prominent —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.185.37.201 (talk) 07:19, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. – PeeJay 07:29, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In the lead it is stated that the Lord's test victory was "England's first at the ground in 75 years". Ought this not to read "England's first against Australia at the the ground for 75 years"? England won some matches at Lord's against other teams between 1934 and 2009. I remember England v Bangladesh there in 2005, and v the West Indies the year before, which the home side won, etc. Tim riley (talk) 18:39, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This claims to show Part of Australian cricket team in England in 2009 but is, in fact, simply the NPower logo TheOneOnTheLeft (talk) 09:28, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are quite wrong, there. That statement refers to the 2009 Ashes series being part of the 2009 Australian cricket tour of England, not to the image. – PeeJay 11:43, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
