Team Lists

[edit]

I know we haven't done this in previous years, but maybe we should?. Lets add team lists of all teams during that years PNC as it will link back to the article of those individual players and thus we will know if they were part of the PNC that year, this could also apply to The Rugby Championship as well as the Six Nations as teams keep changing on a regular basis. If we link to their Nations's rugby union page, come November, if not selected for the Autumn Tour, their names will no longer be linked and its quite unfair for these players. This is wikipedia so maybe we should be thorough when listing and linking names. I just wish someone can find a way to fix the page so those listings are 'wikified'.... I have been away from doing this type of work for a number of years now so not sure how to make it look good by adding collapsible templates to reduce the space each team-list takes.--Stemoc (talk) 02:32, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think the preferred way of doing this is like this (although not necessarily with the image). So, per-game rosters, rather than full-tournament rosters. With Canada, at least, that's the roster for all their summer games. Some of them might not actually play during the PNC, and I don't think it makes sense to show them. USA vs Tonga Attendance

[edit]

Hey, rather than flip flopping back and forth between 5,000 and 10,000, how about one of you produces a source for the number? This has been reverted and undone, then re-reverted three times now. Grande (talk) 15:34, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

5000ish is probably the correct number, the game was held in USA, they rarely get over 10000 in attendance for a 15's game unless its held in the heartland of rugby in US, Texas...--Stemoc (talk) 22:59, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I was hoping someone could find something better than "5000ish." I'm surprised it hasn't been published anywhere. Grande (talk) 23:33, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Reports say over 10,000 tickets pre-sold...but its US media, they are never correct :P ..--Stemoc (talk) 23:53, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
A week on and I cannot find a reliable source for the attendance. Not likely to appear now, I think. So, time to remove this number as unverifiable. Hamish59 (talk) 11:50, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Likewise

[edit]

An IP has added attendances for Fiji / USA and Japan / Canada without a source. I have not seen any numbers published. I think these need to go unless cited wp:verify. Hamish59 (talk) 08:05, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, found numbers for Fiji / USA and Japan / Canada on ESPN - somewhat different to what was put in the article! Still nothing on USA / Tonga. Hamish59 (talk) 09:58, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Good find. Too bad about USA/Tonga, hopefully it gets released at some point. Grande (talk) 12:21, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
