Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Good catch on this! I nominated it for ITN, although the article may be a little sparse at the moment. Still probably deserves a mention there. Happy editing! Actualcpscm (talk) 20:19, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notable?

[edit]

Gas explosions occur every day all over the world. A building got destroyed and a bunch of people got hurt. No fatalities. The coverage is already fading and would probably never have existed if it had been anywhere other than Pairs. Just because something happens and gets some short term sensational coverage does not mean it merits an article. What is the long term significance of this event? Why do we have an article on it? See WP:NEVENT. -Ad Orientem (talk) 15:30, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Worthy of an AfD nomination. Anarchyte (talk) 10:27, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It may not be as strong as some other school disasters, but I believe it meets notability. This was a serious incident. Perhaps as a compromise, an article can be created about the school, and this can be merged with it. That is a solution I would be happy with. Juneau Mike (talk) 13:31, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If the school is independently notable, that would be a reasonable course. Otherwise I am leaning towards AfD. -Ad Orientem (talk) 16:12, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
