Hi! For anyone reading this, yes, this article is very long and complicated. But I would argue that this is a consequence of the topic, rather than the presentation. Trying to shorten it would in my opinion make it harder to read, not better. 4D N=1 supergravity is genuinely the most complicated physical theory I ever learned. I literally spend over 100 hours researching and writing this article, along with the accompanying global supersymmetry article.
