I came to this page from Category:Articles with incorrect citation syntax. In future, please do complete citations so that I and others don't have to clean-up after you.

But, my real point is that I don't think that §Fallen soldiers should be included in this article. Wikipedia is not a collection of all facts and, to be blunt, these fallen soldiers are just facts. Memories of them are best preserved elsewhere. Similarly, §Gallery has recently grown with the addition of images that may not be encyclopedic in nature. See WP:Galleries.

I propose to delete §Fallen soldiers (known).

I oppose the deletion of the Fallen Soldiers section. History is a collection of facts, and Wikipedia works to collect the most important ones. The deaths, in combat, of each Soldier mentioned was reported in reputable and verifiable news sources around the United States and records pertaining to them are maintained in perpetuity by the Department of Defense. All but one of the known killed are from modern conflicts where the minimalization of US casualties has been a driving strategic paradigm (ex: see the development of the MRAP class of military vehicles). The listing of fallen Soldiers goes a tremendous distance in understanding the unit's contributions and service and thus should be kept in the article. That articles about other units do not include such information should, under no circumstances, be grounds for its removal. It only shows that the appropriate legwork of posting it has not yet been competed.WIKI1Q2W3E4R (talk) 11:13, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
