Thoughts on Notability
[edit]This section is to discuss and outline the notability of this subject. It is an album of music an may therefore be within the WP:NALBUMS guidelines. TheMusicExperimental (talk) 20:28, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
Satisfying any one of the following establishes notability for an album of music:
1. Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent from the musician or ensemble who created it.
- Review in The Wire (magazine) which is the premiere mainstream publication for genres this album includes.
- 3 page review in Journal of the Society for American Music Volume 2, Issue 2 (Special issue on Technology and Black Music in the Americas) May 2008 , pp. 281-283
- Nontrivial coverage in the textbook Composition in the Digital World. Chapter 27 is devoted to Pamela Z, 4 of the 8 musical excerpts in this chapter are songs from this album
6. The recording was in rotation nationally by a major radio or music television network.
- WNYC is a major radio station in NYC and one of the few in the US with programming devoted to genres this album includes. Given that this artist is more aligned to WP:NMUSICOTHER I consider WNYC rotation the equiv of national radio network. But if others disagree with me on that I get it.

- A large list of books and references on the Pamela Z Article almost certainly will have additional material about this album. In particular Pink Noises and the Rutherford-Johnson. I have both and will eventually get around to including them here.
