the phrase "quite venomous" is not informative in this context
[edit]In the second sentence: "It includes the Australian genus Missulena, known as the mouse spiders, which are quite venomous." Saying they are "quite venomous" is not informative, since all spiders have venom and are therefore "venomous". It would be more accurate to say this "This family includes the Australian genus Missulena, known as mouse spiders. Bites of Missulena spiders, though rare, are considered medically significant and potentially dangerous." I also removed "the" before "mouse spiders" as it is unnecessary. I am new to Wiki Editing and do not yet feel comfortable editing the original article, so I'm just offering my suggestions this way for now. --The Spider Chick (talk) 07:20, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
- @The Spider Chick: please go ahead and make these sensible edits! Don't forget to put "Missulena" in italics by typing
''Missulena''
. Peter coxhead (talk) 08:26, 22 October 2016 (UTC)- @Peter coxhead: Thank you so much for the feedback and encouragement to go ahead and complete the edit. I know it was just one sentence, but it was a bit nerve-wracking nevertheless. Many thanks. --The Spider Chick (talk) 06:42, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
