Questions

[edit]

Why does this article, which is apparently written by someone who knows the band and their recordings very very thoroughly, not at all mention their debut album "Don't Pass Go"? And is it really fair to call them a pop band? --HarryCane 12:56, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't Pass Go was not released by Adelphi, it was released by a former incarnation of the band (actually 3/4 of the current lineup) under the name AdelphiRock. Although a clear distinction between Adelphi and AdelphiRock was absent (namely in 2003 during lineup changes) the addition of Kevin Lichtfuss as bassist solidified the change on all fronts. True, it would be an incorrect assessment to call AdelphiRock a pop band, however anyone who has seen Adelphi perform within the last 2 years would, unless driven by some irrationality, agree that their current influences lie in pop and rock.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.187.182.38 (talkcontribs) .

That's true, but still I'd say getting a new bassist and changing their name from "AdelphiRock" to "Adelphi" isn't enough of a change in the band's core to warrant omitting the debut album. --HarryCane 17:09, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Point taken, I'll add a section on AdelphiRock shortly.

Section on DPG is up, sorry for the delays.

I dont like to say it...

Adelphi are such an amazing and innovative band, but this Wikipedia article isn't. I think it's a real mess. I cleaned it up a couple of months back, but more stuff was added to it.

Sorry if i've offended anyone :P
