ANGDA[edit]

How about references to ANGDA (alaska nat gas dev act?) as called for in the 2002 referendum. It sounds like that was a proposal to get natgas out of Alaska, but with AGIA (alaska gas inducement act?) it has now evolved to be support gas distribution within Alaska to meet residential, commercial, and future industrial needs, and replace fuel oil. Is that the change in direction? Mulp (talk) 06:17, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

history[edit]

This history of a gas pipeline seems long and convoluted, with much of the history wrapped up in Canada's native lands and resource development history from 1974 until about 1994. 1974, bt the way, looks like the date of the "ten year moratorium" delaying the Nixon era efforts for a gas pipeline, which should be in that other article and then summarize. It seems like the major political push for the gas line came in the 21st century; was it not an issue through the 80s and 90s? Mulp (talk) 06:26, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
