Discussion
[edit]For the benefit of the Yanks and others, would it be possible and appropriste for someone familiar with this subject to post a pronunciation guide for Albert Chevalier? Was his family name pronounced à la français, as it is written and, if not, how exactly was it Anglicised?
Frederick Chevalier
[edit]The article appears to cite DNB for Chevalier's marriage to Florence Isabel Leybourne, saying "they had no children". Later we learn that he was buried "in the same plot as his son and father-in-law." And the age of the son, Frederick Chevalier, given on the gravestone (22 in November 1909), shows that his birth predated the marriage (1894); yet Frederick Chevalier is said on the gravestone to be George Laybourne's grandson. (Perhaps I should just mind my own business.) William Avery (talk) 12:54, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
The entry for 'The Day Will Dawn' film lists Frederick Chevalier as one of the cast. The film wasn't made until about 20 years after his death. Sarbut (talk) 13:00, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

Son?
[edit]In the 'Final years and death' section it is mentioned that he is buried in the same grave as his son. In the previous brief mention of his marriage it is stated that he and his wife had no children. Did he have an illegitimate son (in which case it's unlikely the child would be buried in the same grave as Chevalier's wife's father)? Explanation/correction needed.
