I think that Albion Park was established before the railway, but the "excessive noise of the passing trains" is a funny line.--Grahamec 06:35, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I reorganised the entire article and added lots of info. Tried to cite most of it.. --Rileyb (talk) 10:52, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The opening line says Albion Park is a suburb of Wollongong, but all other information on the page says it is part of Shellharbour City. Correction needed? 202.81.18.30 (talk) 00:40, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think so. The article Wollongong, New South Wales says that Wollongong is the metropolitan area stretching from Helensburgh to Geroa. So City of Wollongong and City of Shellharbour are both part of Wollongong, New South Wales. Confusing, huh? It makes more sense when you think that Penrith is part of Sydney but not part of the City of Sydney. - Borofkin (talk) 06:00, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The difference is the common usage, which is being deliberately avoided here. People mean Helensburgh to Yallah when they say Wollongong, if they mean the Helensburgh to Gerroa, they make a point of saying the Wollongong Metropolitan area, or Greater Wollongong, or some such. --Inas66 (talk) 07:27, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
