Murdered

I am surprised at the lack of mention of Burnes' murder in Afghanistan. If one is going to put up an article on a person, it should cover salient points such as this. Acorn897 (talk) 18:35, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

killing six assailants in the process

According to Hopkirk, it was Burnes's brother Charles who killed six assailants in the process of being killed, while Burnes himself was killed almost immediately after stepping blindfolded out of his house. Has anyone got a copy of David's book so they can check the citation given in the article? J.Gowers 18:16, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
