Song of Zabranjeno Pušenje was initially inspired by Alija but then was changed

[edit]

Actually, I remember one article in magazine "Politikin zabavnik" with a different text of the song. The first version of the song text directly mentioned Alija Sirotanović. Just before the album release, Alija received award of AVNOJ, the highest award in former Yugoslavia. This event caused that the song which mentions that he is forgotten become inappropriate. So, the song was immediately replaced with a song "Srce, ruke i lopata". The name in the song is replaced to Avdija, without family name, and the verse which mentions his picture at "1000 old dinars" is replaced with "picture in factory newspapers". Unfortunantely during the war in Bosnia I lost this copy of "Politikin Zabavnik" so I can not publish this information in the main article without exact citation, so I write it from my memories. It is not Alija Sirotanovic on the 10 dinar banknote. He is Arif Heralic, steel factory worker (you can tell by the fact he does not have a helmet as miners do, and has tinted googles as steel factory workers do). So change that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.1.131.204 (talk) 08:21, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the dispute?

[edit]

Alexey Stakhanov's record is disputed, whereas Sirotanovic's isn't. Surprise, surprise. Could it be that because Sirotanovic wasn't a Soviet, the west isn't disputed his obviously true record, whilst disputing Stakhanov's equally true record? 90.203.89.62 (talk) 09:34, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
