Backpacking information?
[edit]Should there be any mention of backpacking specific information relating to this trail? For example, should we present that there is a backcountry shelter available near the summit of Mt. LeConte? Should we present rules / regulations for backcountry camping within the GSMNP? Or link to this information in some way? If we were to do all of this, would we want to tag this article as also being under the Backpacking WikiProject? Jrsharp 13:58, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Tallest mountain east of the Mississippi claim
[edit]I don't think this claim is accurate as "tallest" is typically defined to mean highest elevation rather than total height from base to peak, which is to what this statistic refers for LeConte. --Overturn 91 (talk) 05:36, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Notable landmarks?
[edit]The lead of the article talks about the notable landmarks on this route, but there doesn't seem to be text in the body remarking on these landmarks notability that is backed up by multiple reliable sources. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 14:41, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
