Death Date
[edit]Not sure how the anonymous user who added Alvin Stoller's death date found it. Assuming good faith, I hesitate to remove it. Maybe someone can confirm this, preferably with some publicly available source. --Alan W (talk) 01:33, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
This article says that Stoller "seems to have been largely forgotten" or similar, which seems unnecessary. Considering he was not a major bandleader, I do not think he is any more neglected than most other big band musicians of the time.
The article also claims that Stoller played "alongside" Sam Woodyard on the Fitzgerald/Ellington Songbook recording, but I do not think this is the case. Stoller plays on the tracks on which Fitzgerald is not accompanied by the Ellington band. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.175.179.170 (talk) 19:47, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
