  • Amani High School is one of the top high schools in Kabul city located behind presidential palace. It was founded by king Amanullah Khan in 1924 and is called after his name. The school was supported by Germany from that time until 1985 by providing staff and teaching materials.[1] During the 1992-1996 civil war, the school was partially destroyed and its educational material being looted. After the establishment of Hamid Karzai government in 2002, the reconstruction of the school began with German help and the first ceremony to celebrate Afghanistan's return to education was held at the school by attending of interim Afghan leader Hamid Karzai. The school is capable of two to three thousand students in different shifts from 1st to 12th grade.

Possible source[edit]

This book is talking about a German school in Kabul in the 1950s. Could this be the school?

The book itself cannot be used as a source since it is self-published... but maybe info in it can be found in another source? WhisperToMe (talk) 08:15, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
