Anachronism

[edit]

The article says that the award "has been awarded since 1887", which is just wrong. The title did not exist before 1936. You can't rewrite history like that just because a magazine (albeit a very good and reputable magazine) came up with a list of who would have won the awards if they had been around at the time. Please let me know if I have misunderstood this.Tigerboy1966 (talk) 23:38, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion

[edit]

Divide table into sections:

  • Eclipse award
  • DRF/TRA awards
  • DRF award
  • pre-DRF era

Thoughts?  Tigerboy1966  02:27, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Tables

[edit]

Have divided up the table as above. Let me know what you think.  Tigerboy1966  00:45, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Blood-horse list

[edit]

The problem with the Blood-horse list is that it is just a list. There is no indication of what the names before 1936 represent, or how the "awards" were made. Is there an article available which accompanies this chart?  Tigerboy1966  03:07, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Sortability

[edit]

I have made the tables sortable. Unfortunately, the process means that the tables look less neat than they did before. Which is preferable?  Tigerboy1966  10:05, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Edit Summary

[edit]

The edit summary "removed POV" for this diff is misleading [1]. The table was divided up exactly as described in the text. Once again can I please ask you to discuss this issue either here or on the relevant talk pages instead of just reverting. What was wrong with dividing up the table in the way I did? Tigerboy1966  03:03, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Granville

[edit]

Granville- the first Horse of the Year [2]

Bold

[edit]

Some of the names were in bold, with no explanation. I've got nothing against bold text, but there needs to be some explanation.  Tigerboy1966  20:37, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
