Any suggestions, folks, on how to report that Triking Games is financially unable to continue supporting the game for the indeterminate future?--MythicFox (talk) 19:37, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, let me rephrase... does anyone think it should be included in the article in a visible fashion, rather than just slipping in references to it between the lines in the set descriptions?--MythicFox (talk) 19:39, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Probably a good idea. Unfortunately, the exact status of TriKing Games is a mystery, with rumors of a new version of Anachronism, possible partnerships/funding, etc. The company forums are broken, and the only people giving voice to what's going on are from the design team, which was let go almost a year ago. The only site that has anything to say on the matter, I think, is the Dystemporalia blog. But I'm not sure if that would count as a citable source for Wiki purposes. And with the forums being non-functional, there's not a whole lot we can do here.--MythicFox (talk) 09:49, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article revision

[edit]

I did a massive revision of the Releases, including the information about TriKing's hiatus and the new Players' Committee. I also took all the card lists out, and moved them to a List of Anachronism (game) Sets page. Unfortunately, such a huge revision was reverted by a Bot. I reported a false positive, so hopefully we should see the more accurate article soon MindBomber (talk) 19:02, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I reverted it. This page should be a more accurate account of the game's current status. If I can get a hold of the exact forum links describing TriKing's status, I will; it might be a little bit, since the forums are busted. I'll also update the "List" page when time permits. boardgamegeek

[edit]

I typed Anachronism into www.boargamegeek.com and it seemed to be describing a different game. Maybe I was just reading it wrong, but none of the Infobox stuff was the same. Are there 2 different games with this same name? Or is one of the sites wrong? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mathman1550 (talkcontribs) 21:02, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This site was wrong. It looks as though, in one of the edits from earlier this year, there was a template change, and incorrect info came along with it. I've changed it to the proper credits, though I don't believe Michael Brown was the only designer. MindBomber (talk) 20:24, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

The warning box on this article's page has it backwards — when TriKing changed its website earlier this year, they did a copy/paste of the game's description from the Wikipedia article. If you take a look at the dates in the "Oracle" and "Community" sections of www.trikinggames.com, and compare them to the history of this article, the article came first.
