I added a "clarification needed" - this is a poet, and the second sentence just says that he was "victorious" 10 times, with no indication of what he was victorious at. I guess this is something to do with ancient Greek poetry contests, but I have nowhere near enough knowledge of this to figure out what exactly - some reference to the kind of contest he was victorious in is needed.
