Anthony Petrushevych (Ukrainian: Петруше́вич Анто́ній Степа́нович[1], here Antoni Petruszewicz[2], January 18, 1821 – September 23, 1913) has never lived in Poland and he has never been a Polish historian. He was a priest of the UGCC, Ukrainian historian, linguist, researcher of the history of Galicia.
He was born in the village Dobriany, Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, crown land of the Habsburg Monarchy, the Austrian Empire Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria (Now – Dobriany, Stryi Raion ) in the family of the local priest UGCC Petrushevych Stephan (1772-1860).[3]
He studied in Stryi, in the Lviv University (graduated in 1845) and in the Greek-Catholic theological seminary.
He died on September 23, 1913 in Lviv, Austria-Hungary.[4]--Bogdan Kosar (talk) 21:05, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
