What in the World?

[edit]

This article is stupid. It has obviously had very little work done on it. There are random irrelevant facts thrown in. It is very short. It's full of grammatical errors. If this article is not fixed, it should be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.105.128.54 (talk) 16:21, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. The article is complete nonsense. But given its origin, that's hardly surprising. ♆ CUSH ♆ 07:38, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

this article could use some work

[edit]

due to lack of time on my part, i only added a little bit info to this page, and didn't cite any sources. i hope someone else could spruce up this page for me. --Crossovershipper (talk) 04:18, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Muslim conquest of Syria

[edit]

This "article" has been unsourced for a long time. Does anyone disagree with redirecting it to Muslim conquest of Syria? It seems to be what that article is about. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 04:52, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

i guess you could do that if you want--Crossovershipper (talk) 04:37, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Good idea. And maybe the original article is changed as well. To use modern nomenclature for events in the 7th century CE shows very well the political inclination and purpose of the original article. Muslims conquered Syria. Period. And with less violence than commonly thought. "occupation" has a completely different legal quality that applies rather to what Jews do in Palestine in the 20th and 21st centuries. Palaestina is not identical in meaning to "Palestinian region" of the 20th century.
So please go on with the move. It's a big correction. ♆ CUSH ♆ 08:38, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
