Communities missing

[edit]

The "communities missing" section appears to be missing well over half of Saskatchewan. This should be fixed, or has Wikipedia somehow obtained a list of communities that will go to 639? 71.17.200.66 (talk) 02:30, 11 April 2012 (UTC) - No communities will "go" to 639. The whole province now has two area codes than any phone can be assigned to. Hope that cleares it up for you. Allthenamesarealreadytaken (talk) 02:55, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Three digit prefix

[edit]

The three-digit prefixes for all phone numbers in the North America Numbering Plan... including Saskatchewan .. is not 10,000 possible prefixes. It is 791. How do I know? Look up the rules. The first digit cannot be a 0 or a 1 so that leaves the digits 2 through 9, which means or 8 possible digits for the first place. The next two digits can be any combination of digits from 0 to 9 so that's 10^2 possible combinations for the second two digits. However, prefixes ending in 11 are disallowed so that's 8 less. The prefix 555 is disallowed so that's 1 less. So that's 8 * 10^2 -8 -1 = 791. Allthenamesarealreadytaken (talk) 02:55, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
