Page name
[edit]Outside of Wikipedia, I have never heard this family referred to as the 'Pérez dynasty'. Agricolae (talk) 04:31, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- Neither have I. I may have created it (some three years ago) based on something I read at the Spanish Wiki. The term "dinastia Pérez" is used on the Catalan. Shall we move it to Beni Alfons then? Srnec (talk) 06:18, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know about that either. I have only seen it in Arabic sources, and in Spanish or English sources saying it was the name used by Arabic sources. Usually in English sources, they are called the Astur-Leonese Dynasty, or something of the sort, but there doesn't appear to be a consensus. Agricolae (talk) 00:21, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- I've also seen Banu Alfonso. "Astur-Leonese dynasty" sounds more like a description than a name. Srnec (talk) 03:31, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- Better this than a neologism. However, if you think the page ought to be simply deleted (because it can't get much better than it is now), say so. Srnec (talk) 05:25, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Merge into House of Asturias
[edit]This article should be merged into the House of Asturias one as a section, wich is the dinasty in wich the "Beni Alfons" are included. Also, the name is the one given by Arabic sources to the family, wich could be logic on Arabic WP, but not on English WP (main reason is that they are not an Arabic or Muslim dinasty, but Castilian and Christian).--HCPUNXKID (talk) 17:45, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
- If anything, House of Asturias should be merged here, since this page is older and is more of a collaborative effort. The final title of the merged page we can decide later. There are several options, but I do not particularly like "House of Asturias". Srnec (talk) 01:48, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
