Major Overhaul

[edit]

Starting in January and ending in February (2014), I will be overhauling this article. Areas of revision will include the history of the school, referencing primary published sources, traditions, current campus, etc. In addition, I will be updating enrollment figures. Tried to make changes to the article to make it sound less like a school brochure / an article written in combination by current students and school administrators. 100.15.241.58 (talk) 00:51, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, I've adjusted the tone of the first paragraph a little. -- Bovineone 14:24, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

does anyone know what the school uniform at the awty is like?

school uniform

[edit]

Hey, school uniform for Awty is a white air-tex or button down shirt for both sexes, and either khaki pants for boys or a tartan skirt for girls.

Below the upper school, boys can also wear blue shorts.

Middle School: Boys can wear navy-blue shorts or navy blue pants, with a white shirt or a white polo shirt. Girls wear the same shirt / polo shirt and a tartan skirt. Upper School: Boys will wear khaki pants and the white polo shirt / shirt, and girls can wear kakhi pants, a tartan skirt or a khaki skirt with the same polo shirt / shirt as boys. school size

[edit]

The article claims Awty is the largest international school in the USA, but this other source claims it is the second largest. http://www.houstonschoolsurvey.com/international.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wordfortreasure (talkcontribs) 00:52, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Wordfortreasure: Things may change year-to-year, and also I'm not sure if houstonschoolsurvey.com is considered a Wikipedia:Reliable source for Wikipedia purposes. I would use newspapers. One could also say "X says that Y is the largest international school" with X being the source. WhisperToMe (talk) 21:38, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
