[edit]the article claims he was a director of an Art school and was one of "Azerbaijan's greatest artists", each of which are a basis to meet wp:n. the article is somewhat supported by a cursory google search, [1] and requires further analysis and research. Sincerely, --PinkBull 15:24, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- It has no references whatsoever. Earlier, another version of the same article was speedily deleted for copyright infringement. While no longer blatantly ripping off the source of his information, it's a pity the author is still unable to provide credit. Mephistophelian (talk) 15:31, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Sources were just added, which unequivically establish notability. I'm unaware of any copyvio at this time.Sincerely,--PinkBull 15:42, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- It's basically the text you find when clicking the first reference, albeit heavily shortened. noisy jinx huh? 16:05, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- I just noticed that as well and it is problematic. I will rectify that now. --PinkBull 16:12, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Well, the original page was just the text from the first source, but without the source being mentioned. Add the usual Biography heading, rewrite a little and you should've just about rescued the article. Mephistophelian (talk) 16:14, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- I removed everything except for the heading, which should suffice for now.--PinkBull 16:18, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Pic
[edit]Commons has a drawing by Azimzade [2], but I don't know the context and am unfamiliar with picture formatting at articles. --PinkBull 16:46, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
In this picture you can see a caricature by Azim Azimzade in monthly Azerbaijani magazine Molla Nasreddin. I can also tell about this caricature: In early XX century in Azerbaijan a new modern medcines were not so popular by quack doctors of that time. He expose their charlantry, backwardness, and ignorance of their medical knowledge. In this caricature Azimzade show this backwardness of quacks using type of Emir Bukhara (fat red man). Dialoge below:

Translate Bukhara is holy |
Something like that. --Interfase (talk) 22:55, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
Here you can find another caricatures of Azim Azimzade. --Interfase (talk) 23:00, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks so much. I see you put in a picture of Azimzade himself, which makes sense prioritorially.--PinkBull 19:58, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
I was mistaken. This picture was made by I. Rotter, not by Azimzadeh. --Interfase (talk) 07:45, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Flagging For Fan-Like Article
[edit]This article is written less as a biography than a haigography. From its relentless repetition of the artist's full name (which I have just corrected) to its breathless praise, it may require a rewriting to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. It also seems to share his apparently Soviet worldview.
