Breakdancing is far more static tha Parkour, however. As a second however, the BBC have already had a promotional clip of what is definatively Parkour - they guy crossing the cities rooftops to get home to watch TV. That's true. The men in the ident aren't crossing anything in the way of the man on the rooftops, they're strolling along and dancing. I think it most likely is breakdancing. The strolling implies its not breakdancing though - thats what I meant by static :)

Ah well, a far more productive thing to do would be to get a sample of Forever And A Day by State One to upload here. This is an incredibly detailed article for such an odd topic - the British and Irish television articles in general are pretty amazing. --Kiand 17:54, 11 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I had a listen to it. Don't know if it'll be possible to get a sample but it's a good idea. Nice to hear that you like the British television articles, it's the aim of this Wikiproject that I'm involved in to improve all such articles.Wikiwoohoo

"Reflection"[edit]

What is the source for the claim that this ident has been "discontinued"? I saw it only a few days before the Christmas 2005 idents were introduced.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 195.93.21.9 (talk • contribs).

Removal of most images[edit]

As part of a rethink on fair use images with regards to the nomination of this and the other articles nominated for deletion back in December, I have decided that just the one image is good enough as an example of the style of the idents. This is already the case with the BBC One Balloon idents article and also now the BBC One 'Circle' idents article as well and in my opinion,--92.3.141.106 (talk) 01:31, 14 November 2010 (UTC)--92.3.141.106 (talk) 01:31, 14 November 2010 (UTC) the one image can just as adequately give a feel for what the article is referring to. I have listed the images removed from the article as orphaned fair use but would welcome any comments or suggestions. I disagree, actually: take a look at the BBC Two 1991-2001 idents article; it is, I feel, a lot better off with them. For that reason, I'll be adding them all back soon, for this and the Circles page, but they'll all be my own screenshots (so no problems with getting permission from the TV Room). _TheIslander 17:16, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

A Google News search for "+bbc ident" returns 1570 hits.

This seems to be clear evidence for BBC idents being a subject of legitimate encyclopedic interest.
