List o' schools
[edit]If not a redirect, suggest leaving out an attempt to list various universities offering this degree. See Category:Technical_universities_and_colleges and [:Category:Information_schools]. A comprehensive list of schools would overwhelm discussion of the degree. If not a comprehensive list, what's the criteria for a highlight on this page?Cander0000 (talk) 04:05, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
ABET
[edit]Is it currently true (as the article claims) that "most" IT programs are ABET accredited?
I believe it would be true to say that of, for instance, engineering degrees, but didn't they just barely start looking at IT programs a few years ago?
There's no ABET-accredited IT program anywhere near me, and I live in the technological East. New Englanders would have to go as far as New York to find one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.63.11.26 (talk) 00:39, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
ABET accreditation for BSIT program link given if possible try to help to improve this article. Though there few colleges that have accredit this program.--122.163.77.16 (talk) 13:58, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- Using the search on ABET's site, I see 14 programs total. That doesn't seem like "most" to me either, nor does the link provided by a new IP sock of Rock5410 actually support that claim. I changed it to say "some" instead of most, since that's easily proven. WeisheitSuchen (talk) 14:05, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Original research
[edit]Unless there is evidence that all of the listed degrees are the same, they cannot be included here. We cannot simply say, "Oh, they have similar requirements/courses, so they're the same"—that's original research, and strictly forbidden. I'll have to try and do some research over the next few days and find a solution; it probably involves stubbing this article, and only including information about the BSIT degree.
