Suggestion to merge this article with Baerami Creek is opposed.[edit]

The practice has been that localities (or towns) with the same name as a watercourse get their own article. The article about the watercourse (and only about the watercourse) already exists as Baerami Creek. There are numerous examples of pairs of articles like this, for example: Little River, Victoria and Little River (Greater Geelong); Rock Flat, New South Wales and Rock Flat Creek; Paddys River, New South Wales and Paddys River (Southern Highlands, New South Wales). As a further argument for the status quo, not that I think one is needed, the watercourse Baerami Creek extends beyond the boundaries of the locality Baerami Creek, so the two do not completely correspond geographically.

Note also that the appropriate project should be New South Wales (Australia), not ('old') Wales, UK.TrimmerinWiki (talk) 10:27, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
