It appears that this whole page is just a huge joke, possible someone poking fun at wikipedia. As we all should know, Seymour Glass is a fictional character in Salinger's novels. It seems that the same person who started the article also deleted the tag that said it was a fictional article written from a real point of view. I am quite familiar with Salinger/the Glass series, and have not ever heard of a Bananafish Magazine. Additionally, Salinger stopped releasing work around the 60's. (material redacted as a spoiler, per coment below). There is no legitimate source that could verify that such a magazine exists. Additionally, the external link is a 404. What the hell? Bananafish is a well-known magazine from the 80s and 90s post-punk / underground culture. It was founded by Seymour Glass, whose name is, obvously, a pseudonym, taken from the Salinger story. I'm getting a little fed up with people on this site assuming something doesn't exist or isn't notable solely because they've never heard of it. Please humor me and consider the miniscule possibility that you don't know everything. Here is a google search for "bananafish magazine." As you can see, there are multiple links demonstrating that Bananafish Magazine does in fact exist. The search took me about six seconds to do. You should try it sometime. Seriously... Is this deletion proposal a joke? If so it's a pretty weak one. At any rate, I'm deprodding the article, as well as removing the baffling "hoax" template. P.S. For whatever reasons I've never gotten around to reading that Salinger story, so thank you for spoiling it for me. MrBook (talk) 23:50, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
