Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because Ms. Robinson is retired from the film business. There is nothing to promote. Additionally, none of the text is disparaging to others in her previous profession. Every fact mentioned is supported by a citation (in some cases, several citations). The article was written for several reasons. First, the connection between the Chinese and US film industry has grown extensively in recent years. Ms. Robinson was one of the pioneers connecting the modern US film industry to its counterpart in China. She was instrumental in causing the production of what film scholars consider to be prominent 'early' works such as "Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon". While recognized by her peers with awards and press notice, her 'full' story has never been told in one article. That is why I created the Wikipedia entry for her. Film historians around the globe will find this article a valuable resource as it provides ; comprehensive, documented, insight into the evolution of China's relationship to Hollywood.
