A few amends and corrections:

  • (The ghost of) Caine is called the Tortured One, not the Lost One. He is called thus because of the tormenting flames he imagines himself in.
  • The really interesting part of Batlin's Skara Brae experience is not that there are no answers (as is already mentioned, the Avatar learns this as well after speaking to Caine when Horace has been disenchanted), but his conclusion that there are "No meanings. No virtues. No values."
  • A minor issue: The Avatar does not need to visit Skara Brae at all in order to complete the game without cheating. Admittedly, a major part of the plot will be missing, but Skara Brae (and Alagner's notebook, or visiting the Time Lord) are not required to destroy the generators and the Black Gate. Thus, I changed "must do" to "does", because most non-cheating players will 'solve' Skara Brae before destroying the Black Gate, but they are not strictly required to do so. Fair use rationale for Image:Batlin.JPG

[edit]

Image:Batlin.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Scientology

[edit]

Wasn't Batlin and the Fellowship based on L Ron Hubbard and the scientology? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.12.222.85 (talk) 15:05, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, and that is pretty much common knowledge, but we'd need a reliable source for that. There was a bit of discussion about this in Talk:The Fellowship (Ultima). --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 16:51, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
