Battle of Irrawaddy?

If this article is about the Battle of Irrawaddy near Ava that took place in February 1768 then, it should be a Burmese victory. This was NOT the first battle of the Third Invasion. According to Prof Kyaw Thet's book (which I have the Burmese version of) the first major battle took place near the Goteik Gorge in Shan State where Ming Rui's forces overran Maha Sithu's defenses. By the time the Qing forces got to near Ava, they were exhausted, and were defeated by the Burmese. Hybernator (talk) 17:10, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
