Should result field in Template:Infobox_military_conflict include final outcome only or other intermediate results that are not part of final outcome/don't necessarily hold as part of end result? Example:

result=
- Army A besieges city B on date X
- Offense stalled on date Y
- Army A captures city B on date Z

versus

result=
- Army A captures city B on date Z.

Some example pages that include intermediate results: Siege_of_Kobanî, Second Battle of Tikrit (March–April 2015), battles generally edited by same author(s). Outcome of this RfC important for general battle history documentation, and current Syria/Iraq conflicts in specific. LimitationsAndRestrictions495656778774 (talk) 18:25, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
