Line color?
[edit]I was on another computer, and added the line colors for each of the operational MNRR lines. I've seen that the Beacon Line has been represented by a color like CC9922. Should I add it to the template, and then to the article?

- Being it's a non-revenue, largely inoperative line, I don't think it's needed. It wouldn't appear in any stations' infoboxes or succession boxes, the main points were colors are used, so I don't think it's really neccessary.
- CC9922 translates to an orangy color, correct? Orange, in the Metro-North world, is used for the Port Jervis Line. As far as I know, the line has no official color like the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven, so to assign a color that's not used internally is a bit ORish for my tastes. oknazevad (talk) 15:28, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response, I have no idea where I read that it was used that kind of color. I'm adding all the proposed stations to their succession boxes for MNRR. Do you know where I could find a list of those stations?

- What proposed stations do you mean? There are no proposed stations on this line, as there is no proposal to restore passenger service to this line anytime soon. Metro-North bought it back when they did just to make sure it didn't get torn up like so many other rail lines, not to put it into use anytime soon. So succession boxes for this line are simply not needed. So I wouldn't bother. oknazevad (talk) 21:42, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I meant proposed stations on the operational lines...

- Oh, you mean places like Fairfield Metro Center. Don't add those to succession boxes until they open, per WP:CRYSTAL. While some are likely to open soon, others are far too distant and could be dropped. There's a difference between "proposed", "planned" and "under construction". Only the last should be added to succession boxes.oknazevad (talk) 23:35, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

New York Central? Really?
[edit]Does this article really deserve the Category:New York Central Railroad lines? Somehow I'd think New York, New Haven and Hartford alone makes much more sense. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 04:58, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- It should list the New Haven (as you note), the Penn Central, and Metro-North. It was never owned by New York Central. Removing that. oknazevad (talk) 13:31, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
