[edit]I've created this page partly to make an article out of a redlink, and partly because not only do I know a fair bit about the town, but it is near and dear to my heart; my grandmother and mother were both born in Beechy, my grandmother's parents were among the first pioneers to settle in the area, and I've visited the town several times (I still have relatives out there).
The article as it stands now seems to be good, I could add a few other things to it (like the golf course, the legion hall), but those aren't mentioned in external sources that I could find, so I fear it could fall under original research.
(I also used, for a bit of reference, a book my grandmother and her brothers put together, about the pioneer memories of the early days of Beechy district (from about 1914-1945), but since I'm unsure if it's actually published or not (it seems to be professionally bound, etc.), I again don't know if it can be used.
Finally, I also have pictures from some of my visits out there, if it is desired, I can add them to the page. --Canuckguy 01:38, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, of course, if you have pictures, they can be used! Masterhatch (talk) 13:15, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
