[edit]Have archived comments from initial start-up. Thank you for help. Just a few thoughts now on my first page:/startup editing comments - no longer contextual
When helping someone new or who you might assume to be new, the more specific and direct your comments the better. Saying "Fix this" is helpful. Saying "Fix this: do this with that, and that with this because..." is wonderfully helpful and sure to win loving thoughts in your direction. Do not assume everyone understands as well as you do: giving a directive to "read the manual" is okay, but it is important to realise that not everyone reads the manual and comes to the same conclusion: the help that pointed out what I needed to change, how it needed to change and why was the best and most useful information. I had read the manual, but didn't understand how I had not done what it recommended until someone else pointed it out. NurseUK (talk) 23:56, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- NurseUK, since you seem to know the subject of the article personally, would you be able to get a photograph of her? Perhaps you can take a digital photograph of her and include it in the article. Then you might also want to consider adding an infobox for this person. See WP:Images and WP:Info for more information or feel free to post any specific questions that you may have. Just make sure any photograph adheres to WP:Copyright Image Guidelines. will381796 (talk) 01:13, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Am not sure a photo of a living person would be useful, informative or benefical? Am unsure, even after reading guidance on how to add categories (British or English nurses) to this article. Am also unsure what an infobox will provide, as the link above does not provide any information. Thank you. Have added link from BCU site. Elsevier site not appropriate for link. RCM site not appropriate for link. There is no workplace related site. Categories for nurses seem to be appropriate. Sorry, am still new and learning. HoneyAS (talk) 04:31, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
