I wanted to add an information to the article about the controversies which have thoroughly affected the reputation of the show. Some new sources state that Kamal Haasan has fallen into trouble for hosting the show. The programme is set to stop due to the protests of Film Employees Federation of South India where it has requested to stop the shooting of the show. I wanted to insert another information that Kamal Haasan is to leave the season due to the above mentioned controversy.

Strikeouts[edit]

@Adarshkrishna22290: Though I applaud you for being the first person to actually address the strikeout issue in this edit, let's be very clear about something: This is an encyclopedia article, not a fansite. Ambiguous coding that only makes sense to people who watch the series is not helpful for this project. We are supposed to present information to the widest possible audience, so we have to assume someone in Brazil isn't going to understand what the strikethroughs mean. We typically do not use strikethroughs in encyclopedic prose, because it's not terribly professional, it is potentially ambiguous (as in this case), and because it is a contravention of our Accessibility guidelines; strikethroughs make it difficult for people with vision impairments to read text, and some computerised screen readers don't process them well. See MOS:NOSYMBOLS.

Your embedded note says that the strikethrough indicate "that the person was disassociated with something in the Bigg Boss Tamil show for some reason; like being stripped as house captain or being saved from the eviction". Okay, then we should be expressing that with actual words and sentences like we'd expect an academic tome to do. Why would we err on the side of ambiguity and lack of detail, especially if the content is allegedly of importance? When someone unfamiliar with the series looks at this...

...there is no context for what the strikethrough means. Zero. It is a totally ambiguous method of formatting. Did Ramya die? Was Ramya's name added to the table by mistake? Did a vandal cross out Ramya's name because they don't like her? Ambiguous. What would make more sense is explaining the details:

House Captain	The episode began with both Ramya and Nithya as House Captains, but Ramya was removed from competition for XYZ reason, leaving Nithya in charge.

There's no rule anywhere at Wikipedia that says details have to be explained in two words or less. We write clearly, so that people unfamiliar with the series have a full idea of how it works. So how do you want to remedy this, since the ambiguous strikethroughs should not be used? Do you have enough information about the series to provide explanations similar to what I've proposed above?
