Blackfoot Sue/Liner

[edit]

Does anyone out there know anything about an album that Blackfoot recorded in the late 70s under the name Liner - both the band and the album. I think it was produced by Arif Mardin and contained cover versions of Stevie Wonder's hits. But I only know it by hearsay so cannot add anything to the article. Since writing the above, I have come across the band's official website, and it makes no mention of the Stevie Wonder covers and at first glance, none of the tracks listed seem to be hits by him. Technopat 01:24, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting history

[edit]

Am deleting the following paragraph, as well as the sub-section History, as it has been copied and pasted from the Blackfoot Sue website:

They suffered from comparisons with their contemporaries Slade, due to the stompy, percussive style of their singles, and found themselves uneasily poised between the singles and album markets (which, in the early seventies, were entirely separate entities - serious bands made albums, whereas lightweight pop acts made chart singles), carving out a successful niche in neither, despite firmly establishing themselves on the British touring circuit as a popular and dynamic live act.

Sorry, even though the content is very possibly correct, Wikipedia is quite clear on this issue. It might be useful to include more specific details as to their history, tours and recordings, and other line-ups. Technopat 01:21, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
