Sequel[edit]

Should the sequel Queen of Blood now have it's own page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.243.86.137 (talk) 21:32, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • If we can find enough reviews then it could merit its own article. The big problem I ran into is that the sequel really hasn't gained much coverage as a whole, despite getting sent to various film festivals. I can't really see where this has changed since then, but hopefully there will be reviews and more coverage once the movie hits DVD. So basically, not yet- there's not enough coverage yet for a separate article on the sequel right now. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 01:14, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • IMDb cannot be used to show notability as it's considered (at best) to be a routine database listing. The two magazines (Diabolique and Decibel) may be usable to show notability, but this doesn't really show a good depth of coverage to pass WP:NFILM. We'd really need some reviews in reliable sources to firmly push notability or at the very least a ton of non-review coverage. This just isn't really enough just yet. Actually, the link I sent is the IMDB collection of links to 11 different reviews! :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.150.96.159 (talk) 15:49, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Whoops- sorry about that. I'm just used to people posting IMDb in general as a source. Hmm... offhand the only usable source appears to be AICN, although Cinema Axis may be usable- the only problem is I don't see anything about its editorial process. By large the others appear to be routine blog reviews. Most of the time blog reviews aren't usable because they don't undergo any sort of editorial oversight. I know I must sound really harsh, but I really want to ensure that this film has a lot of sourcing before making an article. There's a bit of a long history with Alexander's articles as a whole (you can see his article's talk page to see what the argument was- it was very drawn out, nasty, and the guy is still watching Alexander's pages like a hawk) and I mostly want to avoid any of that unpleasantness getting brought over to the new article. By this I mean that if we create it without super solid sourcing, there's a good chance that there will be someone who will be specifically gunning to have it deleted and I'd prefer to avoid that until we have a ton of sourcing so they can't take it to AfD or otherwise make life for the article pretty miserable. However that said, there's no reason why we can't create a copy in my userspace and leave it there for the time being or create an article and then redirect it to this article. • I did manage to find a mini review by NOW Toronto, so I've created the article and moved it to the mainspace. I'm still a little leery about its notability getting challenged, so if all else fails I'll just redirect it to this article and play the waiting game for more reviews. • You do realize the person asking for the page is none other than Chris himself don't you? The second IP number on this page is the one Chris used to remove the Ben Cortman section of his article. These IP numbers all geolocate to the Toronto area. Chris is using Bell Mobility or a friends/family member computer to do these edits. Blood for Irina and Queen of Blood are way to obscure to have their own pages. These amateur films are made by a magazine editor on the weekends when he has spare time and is using his friends and family as actors. As well both films were produced by Autonomy Pictures who hardly have any credits and are too obscure to even have a page. Furthermore both these pages only have 5 citations , and the Queen of Blood page simply uses the same citations from the Blood For Irina page (including a dead link!) and those articles were published before Queen of Blood was even produced!! Its pretty obvious you are Chris' friend and you are helping him promote himself on the Wikipedia.

And here's why I believe that

-You threatened me and had me banned because I simply trimmed the fat from his article page. Every time I do an edit on his page you undo them and accuse me of vandalism. -When a spammer (this guy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:MoonMetropolis) was creating pages based on obscure films and got banned because of it, every page he created was deleted except for Blood For Irina which you "saved" by adding a small number of citations to it. Pretty convinet you didn't that for the other pages he created. When I had a "debate" with you over this on Chris talk page, you said that one of your friends heard of the movie trying to make it sound notable!! Are you freakin' kidding me? This is a film that has less than 70 votes on the IMDB and its been out for over a year. -You just created the Queen of Blood page because Chris himself asked for it even though there is hardly any information out on it. You are so desperate that you are reusing citations from the Blood For Irina page! -You didn't put up much of a fight when the Ben Cortman section of his article was removed. How convient.

Why don't you just admit that you are helping your friend promote himself here.64.230.233.209 (talk) 17:18, 17 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oh good grief. I have never met Chris Alexander in my life and wouldn't know him even if he walked up to me on the street. I had mildly wondered if this was Alexander, but figured that it was entirely possible that it was someone else and I responded to it as if it was because by all accounts it could very well be someone else. Not every IP is Alexander and if it seems like I favor Alexander, it isn't done intentionally and Alexander has never flat out asked me to do anything, unless this IP actually is him. Now as far as the MoonMetropolis articles go... I actually did go and try to save quite a few of those articles and I even nominated one for deletion and redirected some of them. If I didn't get to all of them, it was likely because there were so many of them that it was easy to miss. I enjoy editing Wikipedia and fixing/creating articles, but I'm not a machine and cleaning up after that editor was quite frankly exhausting. Mr. Pace, please... just walk away from all of this. I don't know what Alexander did to you, but please stop using Wikipedia as an outlet for this battle. You are not doing yourself any favors and I have tried to give you the benefit of the doubt with things, but in the end putting the Cortman information on the main article for Alexander was a WP:BLP issue and overall various editors did not think that it should have been mentioned. It was not the type of decision that can be made by only one person. As far as the other edits go, you were deliberately trying to minimize his articles in order to make them seem less notable because let's be very frank about this: you absolutely despise Alexander and as such, you have a very blatant conflict of interest and should not be editing his articles. Please, just walk away from all of this. There is nothing for you to gain out of this in the slightest. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:29, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My name is not "Mr.Pace" and you can tell this is Chris because all you have to do is click on the Ip number and you will see that individual removed the Ben Cortman section from the article and then admitted it was him via s similar number on his talk page. If i can see this so can you, so stop pretending you didn't know. I read your little assualt against me over at the noticeboard. You are spreading blantent untruths about me and are even accusing me of having sock puppet accounts and now you tell me I shouldn't be editing and that I despise Chris? I don't despise Chris. Admittedly I'm not a fan but "despise" is you being a drama queen trying to put me in a horrible light to make it seem like I'm some monster in order to justify your own actions. Are you kidding me? I tried to go over there to defend myself but I can't post since the page is locked. How convenient isn't it that I can't give my side of the story when you post over at a page that doesn't allow me to edit.64.230.233.209 (talk) 18:33, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • The admins and other users at the page are aware that you are here on this page. If you aren't Pace then I do apologize for that, but I did have to consider that you are an IP that has been blocked for making disruptive edits at Alexander's page and that you have made similar arguments as Pace. It doesn't appear that you and I will see eye-to-eye on this matter and I kind of get the impression that no matter how many sources I add to an article concerning Alexander, you will argue against the page's existence and you will automatically assume that I'm a friend of Alexander's because I happened to respond to an IP's request that I create a page. For the record, I will usually create a page for anyone that asks as long as there's even remotely enough sources to warrant the page having an article (I usually try to work on articles on the requests pages, but I usually put a priority on pages that people directly ask for) and if you read above, you'll note that I have always been open to the idea of the QoB article redirecting to this article if there were enough people that thought it failed NFILM.
