This page seems to be an unecessary duplication of material in the Maiden page. Personally I'd delete this page, but the other option of course is to move the info about less older, important Maiden lineups here. I also think some of the older members are non-notables and don't need a page. Who the hell is Tony Parsons?! (a journalist, as far as I'm concerned). Thunderstick is notable of course, he played in Samson - but did these other guys release any records for any band! --kingboyk 20:47, 24 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Creating a separate "band members" page was one of the necessities in getting the Iron Maiden article featured, people said the main article was too lengthy and needed splitting. --PopUpPirate 12:31, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

a lot of bands with numerous lineup changes have a very useful table with dates, years, albums, etc -jeowy

Article cleanup

[edit]

Anyone want to take a shot at bringing this page up to new format standards. See List of Deep Purple band members or List of Black Sabbath band members for correct "member page" layout. The Real Libs-speak politely 15:49, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think te new way is terrible, why the switch? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.91.134.171 (talk) 04:16, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree Why are most of the pages being changed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.240.38.113 (talk) 16:57, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article definitely needs cleanup. The "past members" section only includes a list of members who contributed to albums, which doesn't encompass the past members of the band at all. List of Deep Purple band members or List of Black Sabbath band members definitely demonstrate how the page should look. At least all of the past members are included on those pages. As a way to include more past members, I've added a "line-up" section (pinched from the Deep Purple page) made using the scroll from the Eddie's Archive boxset (I knew that would come in useful one day!) as a reference. We could probably dispense with the "Notes" section at this point, maybe adding a notes column to the line-up chart instead? In any case, feel free to fiddle about with the table (maybe adding extra info like Live albums and Live singles etc). Eagle-eyed Maiden fans may have noticed that I deviated slightly from some of the info the scroll gave as it wasn't entirely accurate in some cases (e.g. claiming Dave Murray rejoined the band when Wilcock was still in it), in which case feel free to fix any errors I may have missed! Hope this helps guys (it took me chuffing ages!) Nerdtrap (talk) 23:17, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
