Category 2 station - one of about 60 in Germany. These are either important junctions for long-distance traffic or offer connections to large airports.

Irrelevant information

The current article (January 15, 2007) contains the sentence: "It is the principal station serving the city of Bonn, the former capital of Germany." The fact that Bonn is the former capital of Germany is irrelevant to this article (at least, as it is now; perhaps further content would make the former status of Bonn relevant).
