Recorded at the same time as "Rock and Roll"

[edit]

If I recall correctly, Ian Stewart was present for this song because the band employed him also for "Rock and Roll" on IV. I'm not sure, so I'll let someone else add that to the article.

Yes, indeed. Both were recorded between Dec 1970 and Feb1971. Other stuff: The acoustic guitar could also have been played by John Paul Jones. I really don't hear any bass guitar (verified trhough personal spectral anylysis) sound (just of the bass drum and acoustic guitar). So my personnel section would be:

In addition : which guitar synth? I thought they were intotruced in 1977 (see: guitar synthesizer). The sound is of the mandolin, the acoustic guitar and the reverb. Saemikneu (talk) 12:12, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Heavily influenced"

[edit]

Whether or not a particular song was "heavily influenced" by another is a matter of subjective opinion that can not be stated using Wikipedia's "voice". If the statement is to appear in the article, it must couched in language such as "Writing in his [NAME OF BOOK], {NAME OF PERSON] opined that the song was "heavily influenced" by ... ". That's what is meant by in-text attribution and that is what is needed here. NewYorkActuary (talk) 23:42, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Considering the song was the subject of successful legal action, I'm not so sure that this is a subjective opinion as it is a legal argument with considerable merit. Nonetheless I'll ruin the continuity of the sentence to address your concerns — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.29.97.165 (talk) 23:51, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
