Civil War
[edit]The section "Civil War" includes the following bit of translation following a Russian phrase: ('For Freedom!). The apostrophe strikes me as completely random but I'm not sure. Was it, perhaps, someone using half a set of single quotes (which should be double quotes anyway)? —Kitsunegami (talk) 02:52, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
Why do people keep trying to insert references to an irrelevant video game modification.
[edit]The very niche and largely unknown, "Kaiserreich", is not even remotely significant enough to be mentioned on a page for a historical figure. To the people who refuse to listen to moderators, stop trying to insert your own interests into an article for a historical figure. Ec1801011 (talk) 11:52, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
Kaiserreich has well over 500,000 players, if a BBC miniseries from the 1980's is relevant enough to be mentioned in the "Pop culture" section of the article, I see no reason not to mention Kaiserreich in the pop culture section, certainly it should be in-passing, but it's not an insignificant part of his cultural legacy, especially outside of Russia. --JSUMN (talk) 21:19, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, it should be mentioned in the article. Savinkov is virtually unknown to westerners other than in Kaiserreich, which is one of the longest lasting and most developed mods in video games, dating all the way back to 2005. It is absolutely right to include this reference in pop culture, it is much more relevant than the BBC series. Whoever keeps deleting it may think it's not relevant because it is a video game, and thus not as "legitimate" as a television program. DarioGuerraKauaiUtah (talk) 20:08, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
Right SR
[edit]Given that the Social Revolutionary party's left and right branches were rather different when it came to their ideas, perhaps it might be wise to label him as a Right-Social-Revolutionary? Right now he's only listed as such on the table in the bottom of the article for the major figures of the RCW. — Preceding unsigned comment added by APenInSpace (talk • contribs) 03:33, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- This isn't a bad idea, but as of right now, I think it's good enough to label him solely as an SR. I think you (usually) should differentiate if they're a Left-SR, because the "Rightists" were just the normal SR's and not Maria Spiridonova's branch. However, I do feel like the article needs a decent rewrite with better sources, therefore it might be better off for a future change. Nehpys (talk) 00:06, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
Lack of references
[edit]Much of the material in this article is sadly uncited. If someone knowledgable about Boris Savinkov's life could add some citations and references, that'd be great. Also note that Kaiserreich lore is not a suitable reference. Thank you. LittleCuteSuit (talk) 01:58, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
Why is there no kaiserreich in pop culture?
[edit]Boris savinkov is very irrelevant figure except in kaiserreich where he plays a major role as the leader of Russia even if kaiserreich is a alt history video game i belive it should be in the pop culture section as savinkov is basically the face of Russia in kaiserreich if we can have a bbc television program then why not kaiserreich?as of now kaiserreich has some 500k players, in the end kaiserreich is the only place in modern times where boris savinkov is relevant. 49.36.138.184 (talk) 11:48, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
