This link clearly is not good... goes to the sponsor name... shouldn't it be on a page named Bouygues Télécom (bicycle team) or something like that ? (this is what is done in other languages, see interwikis)

ZeroJanvier 18:32, 11 December 2005 (UTC) (my mother tongue is french, excuse my poor english)

Sorted. Two articles, one for cycling team, one for company, with disambiguation page. (cycling team) disambiguation only needed if a company shares the name of the cycling team, which is essentially any with just a single title sponsor. I'm in the process of disambiguating all the links, but that won't take long. Mk3severo 17:31, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Pronunciation

Can anyone offer guidance on how the company name is pronounced? Thanks

I've had a go at adding the IPA pronunciation to the lead paragraph. Gr1st (talk) 13:14, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Contracts in Turkmenistan

A recent edit draws attention to contracts in Turkmenistant diff also see http://www.lemonde.fr/cgi-bin/ACHATS/acheter.cgi?offre=ARCHIVES&type_item=ART_ARCH_30J&objet_id=1143184&clef=ARC-TRK-NC_01 and http://www.cci.gov.tm/en/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=206:president-of-turkmenistan-reviews-construction-projects-of-bouygues&catid=38:news-2011 http://www.cci.gov.tm/en/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=278:president-of-turkmenistan-receives-top-manager-of-bouygues&catid=38:news-2011 http://www.bwint.org/default.asp?index=2483&Language=EN etc

Also http://www.eurasianet.org/node/62567 which alleges bribes, and states over exposure to risk. I don't think this is currently notable, and the eurasianet.org post is over egged - but in case of future events I'll leave the links here so that someone can say "told you so" at a future date.

Perhaps the level of activity in Turkmenistant is notable? Imgaril (talk) 12:11, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

I added more info to the "projects" section but not about the "controversy" as I haven't found it to be fully clear of POV issues.213.249.248.51 (talk) 14:20, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Neutrality and other issues - the first paragraph is referenced by http://www.unhcr.org/refworld/topic,4565c2252c,4565c25f389,4b87865ec,0.html - which has 0 mentions of the company.
Second paragraph - ditto
Third paragraph - ok. But doesn't state explain controversy
Fourth paragraph - referned from http://www.eurasianet.org/node/62567 (firstly I note that this shows the first paragraph is a copyvio), also the four paragraph is copyvio.
There seems to be some issue here, but it is not well explained at all - in particular why it is a controversy, or reliable sources stating that.
The issues including copvios need fixing soon, and properly.
I could only find one other reference to this http://binjamin.over-blog.com/article-2235383.html a blog - it looks like a hatchet job
I tried archived google news - it's clear that the company has a lot of recent contracts in the company -what I can't find is the controversy.. If someone else want to check more thouroughly then please do so. I did find this http://www.eurasianet.org/departments/insight/articles/eav020310a.shtml but "guilt by association", (assuming there is any guilt here at all) is not acceptable. I'm not sure whether undertaking "inappropriate" construction contracts is actually the same as a controversy.Oranjblud (talk) 21:37, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Owner(s) : French Government ?

I don't think the French state owns shares of Bouygues, and even if it does (always possible with French groups) it's a small part, smaller than what the Bouygues family and employees own, so I don't understand why it's mentioned. Aesma (talk) 13:54, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

I've removed it - in 2006 the "Bouyges brothers" are stated at main shareholders http://www.economist.com/node/8348645
I can't find any evidence that that has changed.Prof.Haddock (talk) 17:28, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
