A note on sources[edit]

The USCG page claims that the light station was established in 1875. This is clearly a mistake, as can be seen from the supporting documents on the Rhode Island lighthouses site. The 1897 lightship was constructed in 1875, but it had been previously deployed elsewhere before being moved to the Brenton Reef station. Mangoe (talk) 03:46, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
