"The use of standard container mountings led to suggestions[by whom?] that "Freight Multiple Units" could be introduced."

By whom?, indeed. This remark strikes me as ridiculous since the original purpose of those units was to operate as a freight train, consisting of one or multiple units. Although the concept failed in Germany, container traffic was exactly what they were intended and constructed for. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.58.243.222 (talk) 19:01, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DR98008

[edit]

When are they going to mention DR98008's work in its new job? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.195.72.29 (talk) 05:18, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 94.195.72.29; who's "they". And do you have any links to citable links to news about DR98008? —Sladen (talk) 07:07, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've added some information[1] about the use of DR98008 as a Signals and Crossings video train in the Manchester area, gleaned and cited from the Derivations in Force list. Since that's about all the information I can find, that is all that I can really add. It's a wiki, if you press the Edit link at the top you're welcome to add further information! —Sladen (talk) 15:05, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What these actually do...

[edit]

It'd be nice if the article went into any detail at all about what these actually do, besides the wiring trains. That is, the presumably standard sandite/water jet/weedkilling/deicing modules that they usually carry? I don't know quite enough about them to write something useful but hopefully someone else does. --69.191.176.32 (talk) 10:02, 7 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
