Untitled[edit]

Butch had the following to say about his article on Wikipedia:

TH: So I’m reading wikipedia.com, and rumor has it you’re a Level 60 Human Paladin on World of Warcraft
BT: I’m actually looking at him right now. His name is Ryd, on Bleeding Hollow. I just got some Judgment Armor – we were doing Molten Core last night. It’s one of the things that keeps me sane. One of the problems about touring is you’ve got all damn day long with nothing to do, and I think it’s one reason that so many artists wind up being alcoholics or drug addicts, or watching soap operas. There’s not a whole lot to do sitting around a hotel room all day long. I’ve just gotten fanatic about playing these damn games. It keeps me occupied. It’s really fascinating. I did about five or six years on EverQuest and had several high-level, including a level 70 Cleric, and always, I don’t believe in buying a damn character, it’s kind of dumb.
To me, the fun is in building the character. I also have a Level 60 Priest. I have two accounts, and two computers. Right now, I just logged on my priest, and I’m about to head over to Silithus and do a bunch of quests that my Paladin can do by himself, but it takes him a long time. He has to do a lot of sitting and drinking mana water ‘til he can go again. If I have my priest sitting around and keeping him healed then everything goes a lot faster. Yeah, Wikipedia, somebody told me about that, this damn online encyclopedia. I went and read that, and I read something about how I like to read and study philosophy and literature and I have a Level 60 Paladin in World of Warcraft. There are more important things in my life, but hey, whatever turns them on. (source)

I kind of think we need to do an article update. - Ta bu shi da yu 08:51, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

On-stage Charisma?[edit]

The statement that the Allman Brothers Band is not known for its charisma seems to be belied by the fact that At Fillmore East is considered by many as one of the greatest live albums. I don't mean to start a subjective debate, but I only mean to ask: is the Allman Brothers commonly perceived that way? Because I thought it was just the opposite (at least when Duane was alive). A related question: does this refer to the ABB throughout its existence, or just more recently? 67.175.166.240 21:53, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Neutral?[edit]

I'm surprised no one has flagged this article. In places it sounds like promotional material and in others like a puff piece. Certainly not a neutral, unopinionated entry that meets Wikipedia's standards. But then again, I might just be whistling in the wind. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tonbo0422 (talkcontribs) 00:57, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Butch's Death[edit]

I removed that date of Butch's death until an official announcement was made by The Allman Brothers Band. Now that it's been confirmed, there will be no need to change it again. RIP Butch. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Newgrass (talkcontribs) 18:01, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

We don't need an "official announcement from the Allmans" - all we need is a Reliable Source, such as the Washington Post, or Fox News, etc. 104.169.17.29 (talk) 02:20, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
And in the future, Newgrass, please come to the talk page and discuss first, instead of edit warring. — Satori Son 18:02, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
