Did Buzby actually survive into the British Telecom era? Seems a bit strange for them to be using ex-GPO mascots after privatisation, but I suppose anything is possible. 217.155.20.163 (talk) 00:04, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Buzby has not only survived privatisation but is still around, It appears that BT Group still own the rights to the character who was used as recently as 2012 in a marketing campaign related to the 2012 Olympics [1]— Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.132.239.222 (talk) 17:03, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
My recollection is the Buzby was widely disliked (or at any rate it was fashionable to say you hated him - maybe people secretly regarded him with wry affection) and once vied with Mrs Thatcher in a poll for "most irritating character on TV".
